This week, the vaccination programme administered more than 23,223 vaccines. So far, 1,187,017 vaccinations have been administered in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire with 505,686 of these being second doses.

As we head towards 19 July, when restrictions are set to ease, we would urge all those who have not yet had their vaccine to come forward. It is really important that younger people come forward for a vaccine to protect themselves and their friends and family from the Delta variant.

All eligible people are able to receive a jab without an appointment by walking into nine sites across the county. These sites are; Gamston Community Hall, Forest Recreation Ground, King’s Meadow Campus, Richard Herrod Centre, Newark Showground, Ashfield Health Village, Mansfield Wickes site, King’s Mill Hospital Vaccination Hub and Queen’s Medical Centre (Pfizer only). You can see the latest site opening times here.

Hospitals

• We have seen 45 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 4 July, which compares to 35 in the previous 7 day period.
• We had 32 beds occupied by Covid+ patients on 6 July, this compares to 30 on 29 June.
• Of those 32 beds, 28% were mechanically ventilated.
• In the week from 1-7 July there were 2 deaths, which compares to zero the previous week.

General Practice

• April saw 461,437 GP appointments with 55% being face-to-face and 51% being the same day or next.

Vaccinations

• Latest figures (8 December – 4 July) show in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire 23,223 vaccines have been administered in the last week. In total, 1,187,017 vaccinations have now been administered with 505,686 of these being second doses
• A breakdown of the figures, alongside ONS population estimates, show vaccines have been administered to 95.6% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 98.1% of people aged 70-74, 93.4% of people aged 65-69,  98.9% of people aged 60-64, 96.7% of people aged 55-59, 91.1% of people aged 50-54, 83.5% of people aged 45-49 and 87.1% of people aged 40-44, 80% of people aged 35-39, 74.7% of people aged 30-34, 56.7% of people aged 25-29 and 52.5% of people aged 18-24.
• Second doses have been administered to 93.4% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 96.7% of people aged 70-74, 91.7% of people aged 65-69,  95.6% of people aged 60-64, 92.8% of people aged 55-59, 86.8% of people aged 50-54, 67.1% of people aged 45-49 and 52.5% of people aged 40-44, 33.8% of people aged 35-39, 28% of people aged 30-34, 20.1% of people aged 25-29 and 15.4% of people aged 18-24.
