Health bosses are urging unvaccinated people to grab a jab at a walk-in clinic over the weekend as latest figures show around 90% of patients in the most critical condition in hospital are not vaccinated. You can read a message from hospital bosses on the current situation here.

All vaccination sites across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are offering walk-in appointments for first and second doses. Second doses will be available for those who had their first dose 56 days (8 weeks) ago. The public can see the latest opening times on the website or alternatively can book an appointment online or by calling 119.

Hospitals

• We have seen 103 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 25 July, which compares to 82 in the previous 7 day period
• We had 159 beds occupied by Covid+ patients on 27 July, this compares to 107 on 20 July
• Of those 159 beds, 16% (25 beds) were mechanically ventilated
• In the week from 22-28 July there were 7 deaths, which compares to 5 the previous week

General Practice

• May saw 463,174 GP appointments with 56% being face-to-face and 50% being the same day or next.

Vaccinations

• Latest figures (8 December – 25 July) show in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire 24,364 vaccines have been administered in the last week. In total, 1,245,540 vaccinations have now been administered with 547,100 of these being second doses.
• A breakdown of the figures, alongside ONS population estimates, show vaccines have been administered to 95.1% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 98.1% of people aged 70-74, 93.5% of people aged 65-69,  99.1% of people aged 60-64, 97% of people aged 55-59, 91.4% of people aged 50-54, 84.2% of people aged 45-49 and 88.2% of people aged 40-44, 81.9% of people aged 35-39, 77.5% of people aged 30-34, 60.3% of people aged 25-29 and 60.3% of people aged 18-24.
• Second doses have been administered to 93.3% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 96.8% of people aged 70-74, 92% of people aged 65-69,  96.2% of people aged 60-64, 93.7% of people aged 55-59, 87.8% of people aged 50-54, 76.2% of people aged 45-49 and 71.9% of people aged 40-44, 52.5% of people aged 35-39, 39.3% of people aged 30-34, 21.6% of people aged 25-29 and 16.6% of people aged 18-24.
