This weekend all those eligible for their Covid-19 vaccine will be able to receive a jab at nine sites across the county without booking an appointment as part of the Big Vax-the-Nation Weekend.
Anyone 18 or over can walk in to sites across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire including; Gamston Community Hall, Forest Recreation Ground, King’s Meadow Campus, Richard Herrod Centre, Newark Showground, Ashfield Health Village, Mansfield Wickes site, King’s Mill Hospital Vaccination Hub and Queen’s Medical Centre. This week, the vaccination programme administered more than 36,989 vaccines in one week. So far, 1,130,950 vaccinations have been administered in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire with 486,170 of these being second doses.
Hospitals
- We have seen 17 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 20 June, which compares to 9 in the previous 7 day period
- We had 17 beds occupied by Covid+ patients on 22 June, this compares to 8 on 15 June
- Of those 17 beds, 2 patients were mechanically ventilated
- In the week from 17 – 23 June there was 0 death which matches the previous week
Vaccinations
- Latest figures (8 December – 20 June) show in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire 36,989 vaccines have been administered in the last week. In total, 1,130,950 vaccinations have now been administered with 486,170 of these being second doses
- A breakdown of the figures, alongside ONS population estimates, show vaccines have been administered to 96% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 98.1% of people aged 70-74, 93.4% of people aged 65-69, 98.6% of people aged 60-64, 96.4% of people aged 55-59, 90.6% of people aged 50-54, 82.8% of people aged 45-49 and 86% of people aged 40-44, 78.1% of people aged 35-39, 71.6% of people aged 30-34, 48.7% of people aged 25-29 and 27.8% of people aged 16-24.
- Second doses have been administered to 93.4% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 96.5% of people aged 70-74, 91.4% of people aged 65-69, 95% of people aged 60-64, 91.9% of people aged 55-59, 85.5% of people aged 50-54, 52.5% of people aged 45-49 and 44.7% of people aged 40-44, 32.1% of people aged 35-39, 26.9% of people aged 30-34, 19.6% of people aged 25-29 and 13.3% of people aged 16-24.
