Health bosses are urging unvaccinated people to grab a jab at a walk-in clinic over the weekend as hospital admissions continue to increase.
Latest figures show 107 beds were occupied by Covid-19 patients in Nottinghamshire’s hospitals on 20 July with many of those admitted being unvaccinated or with only one dose.
All vaccination sites across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are offering walk-in appointments for first and second doses. Second doses will be available for those who had their first dose 56 days (8 weeks) ago. The public can see the latest opening times on the website or alternatively can book an appointment online or by calling 119.
Hospitals
- We have seen 82 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 18 July, which compares to 54 in the previous 7 day period
- We had 107 beds occupied by Covid+ patients on 20 July, this compares to 69 on 13 July
- Of those 107 beds, 16% (19 beds) were mechanically ventilated
- In the week from 15-21 July there were 5 deaths, which compares to 4 in the previous week

General Practice
- May saw 463,174 GP appointments with 56% being face-to-face and 50% being the same day or next.
Vaccinations
- Latest figures (8 December – 18 July) show in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire 18,601 vaccines have been administered in the last week. In total, 1,221,176 vaccinations have now been administered with 527,099 of these being second doses
- A breakdown of the figures, alongside ONS population estimates, show vaccines have been administered to 95.3% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 98.1% of people aged 70-74, 93.4% of people aged 65-69, 99% of people aged 60-64, 96.9% of people aged 55-59, 91.3% of people aged 50-54, 83.9% of people aged 45-49 and 87.9% of people aged 40-44, 81.3% of people aged 35-39, 76.7% of people aged 30-34, 59.3% of people aged 25-29 and 58.7% of people aged 18-24.
- Second doses have been administered to 93.4% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 96.8% of people aged 70-74, 91.9% of people aged 65-69, 96% of people aged 60-64, 93.4% of people aged 55-59, 87.5% of people aged 50-54, 74.1% of people aged 45-49 and 64.9% of people aged 40-44, 42.3% of people aged 35-39, 30.2% of people aged 30-34, 20.9% of people aged 25-29 and 16.1% of people aged 18-24.
