This week has seen our vaccination programme continue to make progress. So far, 630,297 vaccinations have been administered in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire with 51,231 delivered in the last week. In total, 121,907 second doses have now been administered.
The NHS is urging anyone who qualifies for a jab, but has not yet received one, to book an appointment. Those who are currently eligible include over 45s, frontline health and social care workers as well as those who are clinically vulnerable and carers.
Hospitals
- We have seen 47 hospital admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 18 April, which compares to 60 in the previous 7 day period.
- We had 81 beds occupied by Covid+ patients on 20 April, this compares to 84 on 13 April.
- Of those 81 beds occupied, 13.5% were mechanically ventilated.
- In the week from 15 – 21 April there were 0 deaths in our hospitals down from 2 in the previous week. The last time we saw 0 deaths was the week 5 – 11 September.
Vaccinations
- Latest data shows in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire we have administered 630,297 vaccinations (8 December – 18 April) with 51,231 delivered in the last week.
- A breakdown of the figures, alongside ONS population estimates, show vaccines have been administered to 96.7% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 97.8% of people aged 70-74, 92.7% of people aged 65-69, 96.9% of people aged 60-64, 94.2% of people aged 55-59 and 88.4% of people aged 50-54, 64.9% of people aged 45-49.
- The numbers of those receiving their second dose of the vaccine has also started to increase. Latest data shows 82.1% of people aged 80+, 65% of people aged 75-79, 17.6% of people aged 70-74, 4.5% of people aged 65-69, 8.3% of people aged 60-64, 9.9% of people aged 55-59 and 9.5% of people aged 50-54 and 8.6% of people aged 45-49 have now received their second dose.
