Ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend, the NHS is urging the public to make sure they stay safe and choose the right healthcare service to reduce the pressure facing emergency departments. The public are being asked to contact 111 first to make sure they are seen in the most appropriate place and reduce long waiting times over the busy weekend period. Many pharmacies are also open over the bank holiday period, you can find opening hours for your local pharmacy over here.
Vaccination Centres are open over the weekend and health bosses are encouraging the public to get vaccinated to protect themselves, and those around them, from Covid-19. This week family vaccination clinics have been launched, giving families the option of being vaccinated in one go.
