This week Nottingham and Nottinghamshire hit a milestone as more than one million vaccinations were administered since the start of the programme. Reaching one million vaccines is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work of NHS staff, the teams working operationally behind the scenes, those who have retrained to help and the many volunteers who we could not deliver this programme without.

Currently, those aged 25 and over can book an appointment by calling 119 or visiting the National Booking Website. Any member of the public aged 40 and over, clinically vulnerable, clinically extremely vulnerable and carers who have not had their Covid-19 vaccine are able to walk-in to a number of locations and have a vaccination without booking. The walk-in service is available at: the Forest Recreation Ground, King’s Meadow Campus, Gamston Community Centre, Ashfield Health Village, Newark Showground, Richard Herrod Centre and Mansfield Vaccination Centre.

This weekend all those eligible for their Covid-19 vaccine will be able to receive a Pfizer vaccine at either the Forest Recreation site or Mansfield Vaccination Centre. Both the sites will be open from 8am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday offering walk-in appointments to anyone eligible for their first dose. Find out more here.

Hospitals

• We have seen 9 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to  6 June, which compares to 16 in the previous 7 day period
• We had 23 beds occupied by Covid+ patients on  8 June, this compares to 27 on 1 June
• Of those 23 beds, only 1 patient was mechanically ventilated
• In the week from 3 to 9 June there was 1 death which is down from 3 the previous week

Vaccinations

• Latest figures (8 December – 6 June) show in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire 62,096 vaccines have been administered in the last week. In total, 1,042,531 vaccinations have now been administered with 445,832 of these being second doses
• A breakdown of the figures, alongside ONS population estimates, show vaccines have been administered to 96.1% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 98% of people aged 70-74, 93.3% of people aged 65-69,  98.4% of people aged 60-64, 96% of people aged 55-59, 90.2% of people aged 50-54, 81.6% of people aged 45-49 and 84.1% of people aged 40-44, 73.4% of people aged 35-39 and 60% of people aged 30-34.
• Second doses have been administered to 92.6% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 95.9% of people aged 70-74, 90.4% of people aged 65-69,  91.1% of people aged 60-64, 81.2% of people aged 55-59, 70% of people aged 50-54, 42.8% of people aged 45-49 and 39.3% of people aged 40-44, 28.1% of people aged 35-39 and 23.7% of people aged 30-34.

Primary Care

• In March, there were 534,353 GP appointments in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
• 55% of these appointments were seen face-to-face and 51% were seen on the same day or next
