The NHS continues to urge the public to get protected against Covid-19 by getting vaccinated. All sites are offering first, second and booster jabs to those who have not yet finished their course of vaccines.

Parents and guardians are also being encouraged to book their 5-11s in for a vaccine to make sure they are protected and from today parents can now apply for an NHS Covid pass for their 5-11 year old to make travelling and booking holidays easier. You can find out more here.

Hospitals

• We have seen 161 admissions in the seven days to 24 April, which compares to 225 in the previous 7-day period
• We had 388 beds occupied by Covid+ patients on 26 April, this compares to 457 beds on 19 April
• Of those 388 beds, 7 people were mechanically ventilated and in the most critical condition
• In the week from 21-27 April there were 15 deaths, which compares to 18 the previous week

General Practice

• Latest data shows that in March there were 561,609 GP appointments with 63 per cent of these being face-to-face and 51 per cent of patients being seen the same day of next.

Vaccinations

• Latest figures show in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire 2,118,351 vaccinations have been administered since the start of the programme.
• 85.7 per cent of over 18s have now received 2 doses.
• 68.7 per cent of over 18s have had a booster dose.
