This week the vaccination programme administered more than 65,000 vaccines in one week as well as opening up to all those aged 34 and over. So far, 860,553 vaccinations have been administered in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire with 320,789 of these being second doses.
The NHS is urging anyone who qualifies for a jab, but has not yet received one, to book an appointment. Those who are currently eligible include those aged 34 and over, frontline health and social care workers as well as those who are clinically vulnerable, clinically extremely vulnerable and carers. You can book an appointment by calling 119 or visiting the National Booking Website.
There are lots of appointments available at our main vaccination locations as well as pharmacies across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and the popular vaccine bus will be out on the road again next week.
Any member of the public aged 40-49 who has not had their Covid-19 vaccine is able to walk-in to a number of locations and have a vaccination without booking. The walk-in service is available at: the Forest Recreation Ground, King’s Meadow Campus, Gamston Community Centre, Ashfield Health Village, Newark Showground, Richard Herrod Centre and Mansfield Vaccination Centre.
In order to make it as convenient as possible for the public, the vaccination centres are open from 8am – 8pm, seven days a week. If you haven’t already booked, don’t worry, there is a vaccine waiting for you as soon as your make your appointment.
