This week the vaccination programme opened up to all adults aged 38 and over. So far, 794,732 vaccinations have been administered in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire with 59,543 delivered in the last week. In total, 263,186 second doses have now been administered.

The NHS is urging anyone who qualifies for a jab, but has not yet received one, to book an appointment. Those who are currently eligible include over 38s, frontline health and social care workers as well as those who are clinically vulnerable and carers. You can book an appointment by calling 119 or visiting the National Booking Website.

In order to make it as convenient as possible for the public, the vaccination centres are open from 8am – 8pm, seven days a week. If you haven’t already booked, don’t worry, there is a vaccine waiting for you.

Hospitals

• We have seen 23 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 9 May, which compares to 28 in the previous 7 day period
• We had 43  beds occupied by Covid+ patients on 11 May, this compares to 51 on 4 May
• Of those 43 beds, 9% were mechanically ventilated
• In the week from 6 – 12 May there was 1 death which matches the previous week

Vaccinations

• Latest data shows in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire we have administered 794,732 vaccinations (8 December – 9 May) with 59,543 delivered in the last week. In total, 263,186 second doses have now been administered
• A breakdown of the figures, alongside ONS population estimates, show vaccines have been administered to 96.4% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 97.9% of people aged 70-74, 93% of people aged 65-69, 97.2% of people aged 60-64, 94.6% of people aged 55-59 and 89% of people aged 50-54, 76.4% of people aged 45-49 and 66.7% of people aged 40-44
• Second doses have been administered to 90.1% of people aged 80+, 98.6% of people aged 75-79, 90.8% of people aged 70-74, 76.3% of people aged 65-69,  25.8% of people aged 60-64, 23.8% of people aged 55-59 and 20.7% of people aged 50-54 and 17.6% of people aged 45-49 and 16.9% of people aged 40-44

Primary Care

• In March there were 534,353 GP appointments in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
• 55% of these appointments were seen face-to-face and 51% were seen on the same day or next
