Dr and Mrs Mohindra have made the decision to retire from Springfield Medical Centre meaning the surgery will be closing. Last patient appointments will take place on the morning of Thursday 31 March 2022.
Dr and Mrs Mohindra have arranged for the services and staff from Springfield Medical Centre to move to The Practice St Albans and Nirmala, a local doctor’s surgery less than 500 metres away.
From 1 April 2022, patients will automatically be registered at The Practice St Albans and Nirmala and can contact them with any medical help they need.
All registered patients received a letter from NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG in October 2021 informing them of Dr and Mrs Mohindra’s retirement, the upcoming closure of the practice and details of The Practice St Albans and Nirmala. Registered patients will receive a reminder letter in the coming days outlining the changes due to take place at the practice.
In the meantime, if patients need medical help they should contact Springfield Medical Centre as normal.
If patients would like to register at a different practice to The Practice St Albans and Nirmala, they do have a choice and can do this as long as their chosen practice covers the area they live. Patients are asked to wait until after 1 April 2022 before registering elsewhere.
All GP practices are listed on the NHS website – www.nhs.uk. To register, patients can enter their postcode for a list of their nearest GP practices and contact their chosen GP practice to ask to register with them. Due to Covid-19, some practices may not be registering patients face to face so patients are asked to call them beforehand to check.
