In line with the latest guidance, the NHS is bringing forward when some people receive their second dose of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) vaccination, if they haven’t already had it.
Anyone aged 40 and over should now receive their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine 8 weeks after their first dose, if they haven’t already had it.
You may have seen the news about different variants of Covid-19 circulating in some parts of the country. It is important that we quickly respond to this. This move will ensure you can get maximum protection from the virus earlier.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
If the appointment was booked through the NHS website or 119, some people will be contacted to be offered an earlier appointment for their second dose. If you’ve been contacted and you’d like to rebook, you’ll need to cancel your existing appointment before booking your new appointments. You will be able to see appointment availability before cancelling your exisiting appointment. Please wait to be contacted if you think you’re in this group.
If the appointment was booked via Swiftqueue, please contact the local booking line on 0115 8834640 if you want to move your appointment to 8 weeks
