A new vaccination centre has opened its doors to the public to deliver first, second and booster Covid-19 vaccinations.
Ashfield Health Village Vaccination Centre opened its doors on 16 May after Mansfield Vaccination Centre closed its doors for the final time.
The new site, which is in Kirkby in Ashfield, has capacity to vaccinate hundreds of people each day and is open from 8.30am to 7.30pm every day. The site also offers the chance for 5-15-year-olds to be vaccinated every day from 8.30am-7.30pm.
Adam Hayward, Deputy Director of Operations for the Nottinghamshire Vaccination Programme, said: “The fantastic team of staff who have been working at Mansfield Vaccination Centre since January 2021 have relocated to this new site so we can continue to offer the life-saving vaccine to the public.
“This new site is in an ideal location, there is plenty of space, it is easily accessible to the public, and we would invite everyone who is eligible for a vaccination to pop down and say hello. If you have not yet received your first, second or booster dose, then it is never too late, and we would encourage you to come down and receive a vaccination from our friendly team of staff.
“On arrival to the site, the public will see the entrance and will be greeted by a member of staff at the door. They will have to check in and check some details before being shown to a vaccination station. Once vaccinated they will be able to leave safely through the one-way system. It is quick and easy and should take no more than a few minutes.”

The public can book an appointment through 119, the NHS website or by walking in during certain times. You can find walk in times on the NHS website.
