The latest vaccination figures released this week show we have administered a record breaking 54,136 doses of vaccines in a single week in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Hospitals and Primary Care

• We have seen 215 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 21 February, compared with 284 for the previous seven days.
• We had 466 beds occupied by Covid+ patients as of the 23 February, this compares to 519 on 16 February.
• Of those 466 beds, 11% were mechanically ventilated.
• We now have more than 57% more people in our hospitals than we did at the peak of the first wave in April.
• In the week from 18-24 February there were 47 deaths in our hospitals
• In January, we saw 436,384 appointments in general practice. Of those, 53.5% were face-to-face, and 54% were on the same day or the next day.

Vaccinations

• Latest data shows that in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire we have administered 281,320 vaccinations to date (8 December -25 February). Last week alone we delivered 54,136 vaccines.
• A breakdown of the figures, alongside ONS population estimates, show more than 95% of our care home residents have received the vaccine, 93.9% of people aged 80+, 100% of people aged 75-79, 93.5% of people aged 70-74 and 81.8% of people aged 65-69.
• In Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, we have 3 Hospital Hubs, 7 Local Vaccination Services, a pharmacy-led site at The Towers in Mansfield and a large Vaccination Centre in Mansfield as well as a “roving team” of staff offering vaccinations to care homes residents and housebound people.

Dr Andy Haynes, Executive Lead, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, said: “Latest figures show we are making excellent progress with our vaccination programme, last week saw more than 54,0000 vaccines administered which is up 12% from the previous week and a fantastic effort by all involved.

“We are progressing well with the programme but there is still a small number of people in each priority group who have not yet received a vaccine. We will continue to work with our partners and volunteers to encourage everyone from all communities to take up the vaccine.

 “Our vaccination programme is currently open to all those in the top 6 priority groups and we would urge all those who are eligible to book an appointment at their earliest convenience. A helpful guide to support people to book and understand what is available is here.”
