The vaccination programme in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is underway and this week we opened up the programme to Cohorts 5 and 6. Please urge your friends and family to book an appointment if they are eligible, there is no need to wait for your letter. We have 12 sites offering the life-saving vaccine throughout the weekend to the most vulnerable in our community. We are also offering the vaccine at a number of pop-up clinics across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. For more information on how to book, please click here.

Dr Andy Haynes, Executive Lead, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, said: “Latest figures show we are making excellent progress with our vaccination programme – 227,184 vaccines have been administered with 48,164 in the last week alone. Each day we are delivering a significant number of vaccines to the most vulnerable in our communities and the work of our staff and volunteers to accomplish this has been outstanding.
“Our vaccination programme is open to all those in the top 6 priority groups and we would urge all those who are eligible to book an appointment at their earliest convenience. Health and care teams are working together to make sure people in all communities across the city and county are getting the vaccine but you can help too. Please urge friends, family and those close to you to book a vaccine if they are eligible. A helpful guide to support people to book and understand what is available is here.
“Our hospitals are seeing a reduction in cases but the pressure is still there. I would urge everyone to continue to follow the guidance to keep the number of cases down. We would all like to come out of the other side of this lockdown with a vaccination programme well underway and asymptomatic testing in place so that we can emerge into a world where another national lockdown doesn’t seem likely.”
