A single NHS commissioning organisation covering Nottingham and Nottinghamshire means a more consistent approach to planning, contracting and delivering services.
We are able to make more efficient use of our resources – people and money – than we could prior to the formation of the new organisation in April 2020.
We are closely linked into the work of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System which brings together health and care organisations across the area to improve people’s health and wellbeing by ensuring a more joined-up approach. There are big opportunities in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, as there are nationally, to improve care by making practical changes to how the NHS and social care work. Improvements that matter to people, like making it easier to see a health or care professional, getting a faster diagnosis, and offering help quicker to people with mental ill health.
